1874. That was the year the Cellars of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo officially opened. And 150 years on, they continue to inspire emotion and fascination. To mark the anniversary of this underground gem, built 10 metres below the surface and capable of housing up to 350,000 bottles, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is planning a series of unique and elegant events. The world’s biggest hotel cellar will be opening its doors to host exclusive dinners, accompanied by some of the finest wines to be found anywhere on the planet.
Visit the Polar Worlds at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco
Until December 2024, the Oceanographic Museum is hosting a huge exhibition tracing more than a century of life in the Arctic and Antarctica: “Polar Mission”. The Museum offers a five-stage immersion, where visitors will be able to meet the great polar explorers, the species which have adapted to life in these regions, the people that have chosen the Far North as their home and the researchers who are advancing science. A highlight of the visit, the ‘Immersion’ room offers 650 m2 of projection space to experience the beauty, as well as the fragility of the polar worlds. A refreshingly cool experience in the summer heat!
