Monaco Safe Label
The Principality of Monaco is continuing to make the safety of its visitors its utmost priority. To foster a climate of confidence and help everyone feel as safe as possible, the health authorities carry out frequent spot checks, making sure the required protocols are being properly followed.
The recent launch of the new “Monaco Safe” label, which is awarded to all places across the Principality that welcome the public, guarantees that businesses are complying with the strict health measures set out by the Prince’s government to fight against the spread of COVID-19 in Monaco.
Fully committed to protecting the interests of its economy, particularly the sectors dependent on tourism, the Monegasque State works tirelessly, including during the current period of uncertainty owing to the health crisis, to make sure visitors feel as safe and worry-free as possible when planning your next visit to Monaco.

The label, which is awarded to all places across the Principality that welcome the public, guarantees that businesses are complying with the strict health measures set out by the Prince’s government to fight against the spread of COVID-19 in Monaco.
Wearing a face mask became mandatory in some outdoor public areas on 12 Aug 2020. The opening times of the various public venues and the agenda of events are subject to change.

Here are some of the latest projects leading this destination of excellence into the 21st century:
New Larvotto Beach District now Open

It’s official! The new Larvotto beach district has reopened to residents and tourists. The project to redevelop the Larvotto beach area started in October 2019 with high environmental aims such as energy efficiency for the shops and services areas which will benefit the entire district. Later, from this winter, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a completely new commercial area, with seven additional businesses set to add to the existing facilities after the summer.

New Chef for Organic Michelin star Restaurant Elsa

A New Michelin Star for Monaco

The ambitious young Chef Antonio Salvatore has a philosophy based on innovative gastronomy and classic creations, using the finest ingredients and the quality and freshness of the regional produce.

Embellishment of Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo

One of Monaco’s most iconic 5-star hotels, Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo, will write a new chapter in its history, with a currently undergoing two-phases-renovation project orchestrated by French interior architect Jacques Garcia. This embellishment and renovation will include all guest rooms, the creation of exceptional suites, a redesigned gastronomic restaurant, an enhanced bar, a revamped banqueting room, and all kitchens of the hotel including a world-class open kitchen.
The renovation project has started on 30 November 2020 and the hotel is currently closed with a reopening scheduled on 21 April 2021. The second phase of this exciting transformation is scheduled to start on 01 October 2022 until 31 March 2023. The all-new Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo will be unveiled in April 2023.
Important to know: Hotel’s gastronomic offers will remain closed during the renovation process, with exception of the Michelin-starred restaurant Yoshi.

In 2020, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer completed 4 years of transformation works dedicated to Monaco’s most iconic 5-star hotel, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, and the creation of a new district around the Casino Square. It includes One Monte-Carlo, the most exclusive shopping promenade along the Riviera, also featuring luxury accommodation, restaurants, and a conference centre.
